On Lost Libby finds a glass eye and the following takes place. I didn't have a subtitle track for this episode so I pulled the transcript of the episode "The Other 48 days". Following the dialog is the screen captures that correspond to the transcript.
[Day 27]
[They find a door.]
CINDY: What is it?
ANA LUCIA: I don't know -- some sort of bunker.
LIBBY: Do you think it's theirs?
[Eko goes toward the door.]
ANA LUCIA: What are you doing?
[Eko opens the door. They see the DHARMA Arrow logo.]
LIBBY: What is this place?
GOODWIN: It looks like some sort of storage facility.
[Ana finds a control panel and turns on the lights.]
ANA LUCIA: Hey, come over here.
[They find a chest and open it. Something falls out.]
ANA LUCIA: What was that? Get it.
[They find a bible and some blankets.]
BERNARD: What else in here?
LIBBY: [finding the thing that fell] It's a glass eye.
BERNARD: [holding a radio] Look at this. It's a radio.

This may seem insignificant but when you look at all the other stuff taken from the Doctor Who series it becomes one of the many things that is the proverbial straw that breaks the camels back. |
The only person on the island known to have lost an eye was Mikhail Bakunin. However, it was later revealed that Mikhail's right eye was completely scarred over, which presumably precluded him from having use for a glass eye.
Lost was all about drawing your attention away from what it was really doing and the direction they were really taking us all on. The would place bread crumbs for us to follow only to double back and end up elsewhere. But if you knew that it was a remake it turned into the shortest distance between two points - a straight line. And that line led you right to Doctor Who: The Face of Evil and The Key to Time.
When you look at the complete body of work that is Lost and compare it to the aforementioned Doctor Who series you will know what I know. LOST IS A REMAKE!!!

Lost was a remake? Please leave me your
