The reason for the painting of woman in Ben’s house

In Doctor Who: The Key to Time: The Stones of Blood the Doctor was trying to find some connection with Vivian Fay and the Cailleach. He and Professor Rumford find a priest hole and uncover 3 paintings. The paintings are dated and all are of Vivian Fay spanning 150 years. Professor Rumford thinks that they are her relatives when the Doctor tells her that all of the paintings are of the same woman and says what’s 150 years when you have been around for more than 4 thousand.

This was key in this episode so they had to incorporate it into Lost somehow.

So in Lost they simply created a painting that looked similar to Vivian Fay. Both are sitting in a chair facing the same direction, both have on white dresses.  Both have their left arms are in the same position, you just can't see the entire painting of Vivian Fay's right hand or whether or not she is holding anything. Both have similar lines on face by mouth and similar noses. The hair may be a different color but with the whole black and white thing going on it’s to be expected much like the Taran Beast and the Polar Bear. I haven’t figured out the hamster like creature that the woman in Lost is holding but give me enough time and I will.

Why Henry Gale aka Benjamin Linus was shot with an arrow

Do you ever wonder why Ben was shot in the back by Rousseau with an arrow? I mean she didn’t want to kill him because she said “If I wanted to kill him, I would have killed him.” So why not just deliver him tied up? Well as always it has to do with Doctor Who.

In Doctor Who: The Face of Evil one the Sevateem tribesman was shot in the back with an arrow just a Ben was.

Ben shot in the back by Rousseau:

Why there was a fake news report about the location of Oceanic Flight 815

Do you guys remember that there was a fake news report telling the world that Oceanic Flight 815 was found in the Sunda Trence near Bali? Why Bali? It like everything surrounding Lost has to do with Doctor Who!

In Doctor Who: The Key to Time: The Armageddon Factor: the Doctor went into a furnace to rescue K-9 from being melted down. When he exited the furnace he gave us a wise crack as he always does.

So now you know as I do that all the major themes in Lost come directly from Doctor Who: The Face of Evil and The Key to Time 1 and 2. LOST IS NOTTHING MORE THAN A REMAKE!

Why Ray Mullen had a prosthetic arm

Had you ever wondered why Ray Mullen, the Australian farmer who turned Kate in for $23,000, had a prosthetic right arm?  It’s quite simple really because one of the major characters on Doctor Who did also.  On Doctor Who: The Key to Time: The Pirate Planet the Captain had a mechanical left arm.

YOU GUYS HAVE TO KNOW BY NOW THAT LOST IS NOTHING MORE THAN A REMAKE!!!  I DON’T KNOW WHY YOU GUYS DON’T BELIEVE IT.

Why Locke made a DOG WHISTLE to find Vincent

On Doctor Who: The Key to Time: The Ribos Operation it was the first time that the Doctor made a “WHISTLE” so that he could call his computer dog K-9 when he needed his assistance.

Pictures from Doctor Who: The Key to Time: The Ribos Operation

Pictures from Doctor Who: The Key to Time: The Androids of Tara

This was a major part of the story in Doctor Who so they had to incorporate it into Lost also. It started with a scene with Locke making something and Charlie coming upon him asking what he was making. Locke responds with a “WHISTLE”

We then see Locke on the beach using the “WHISTLE”

Vincent then responds to the “WHISTLE”

Finally we see Walt and Vincent reunited

I KEEP TELLING YOU GUYS THAT LOST IS NOTHING MORE THAN A REMAKE PLAIN AND SIMPLE!!!

Why Charlie had to push a button to turn off a yellow light?

In Doctor Who: The Key to Time: The Armageddon Factor the following conversation occurs:

Doctor: Has it ever occurred to you Shapp that you, the Marshall and this thing (referring to the computer Mentalis) are in an arena playing out a game for an evil alien spectator

Romana: The third force?

Doctor: Yes, I think I’ve met him calls himself the shadow.

We know that the Marshall is on his way to Zeos armed with a nuclear weapon that will destroy the planet. Unknown to the Marshall is the fact that if he does it will also destroy Atrios his home planet in the process. All this while the Shadow will just sit idly by unseen by a third planet unseen by the other two.

Make note of the yellow button

The Marshall’s man ready to fire on Zeos
The Doctor completes the key to time with a piece of Chronodyne which he fabricated. It works but is deteriorating fast. The initial result creating a 3 second time loop.

When the time loop eventually breaks the Marshall actually fires the nuclear warhead.

Notice that the yellow button has turned black
The warhead is fired. The button never turns yellow again after the Marshall tells his guy to fire.

But it bounces off the planet by a force field that the Doctor has setup

And destroys the so-called third planet:

And the Shadow with it:

So how does this relate to Lost? Remember Desmond telling Charlie how he was going to die? He tell Charlie that he see’s Claire and the baby being rescued by a helicopter but it won’t happen unless he dies.

Charlie wants to know how it happens and Desmond tells him the following: You’re inside a hatch, a room full of equipment and there’s a blinking yellow light. You flip a switch, the light goes off and then you drown.

After Charlie gets to the hatch he is captured. After Desmond free’s him Mikhail shoots the first woman and then wounds the second. Desmond incapacitates Mikhail thinking he is dead. The second woman dying tells Charlie that the code was input by a musician based upon the Beach Boys song “Good Vibrations”

Charlie enters the room with the blinking yellow light:

He punches in the code based upon “Good Vibrations” and the light goes out

Mikhail ends up outside the station with a grenade.

He pulls the pin and the room fills up with water after Charlie closed the door to prevent Desmond from dying and he drowns.

So why was the code that Charlie entered based upon the Beach Boys Good Vibrations? It was because in Doctor Who: The Key to Time: The Pirate Planet. When the Doctor first encounters the Mentiads they mentally slam him into a wall rendering him unconscious and K-9 determines the frequency of their attack on him.

It is later revealed to Mula through K-9 that they didn’t intend on hurting the Doctor and she says: They slammed him into the wall with good vibrations?

Now you know why the song Good Vibrations was used as the code to turn off the jamming signal at the Looking Glass station!!!!!

The 3rd planet is represented by the freighter. It was the unknown quantity that neither Ben or Jack knew about prior to Naomi parachuting onto the island.  Remember it was blown up after Ben killed Keamy who was armed with a dead man’s switch rigged to blow the freighter if he died.

There wasn't a full frontal attack on the Kahana.  It was a ricochet effect just like the so-called third planet.  Keamy died and thus the freighter blew up.

Trivia:  The Kahana freighter was 150 feet long the exact number of years that span the paintings that the Doctor and Professor Rumford find of Vivian Fay.  See my posting on the following link:
