At the end of the first season episode 3 of Lost titled “Tabula Rasa” or blank slate. This was anything but a blank slate for the writers. Did you notice the look on Locke’s face at the end when he is staring at Michael after he brings Walt his dog Vincent?
The still pictures don't do it justice but when you see the scene on video and the camera angle shows his face he looks truly evil. This is where they introduced the title of one of the 2 shows that Lost is based upon “The Face of Evil”. John Locke wasn’t evil but the entity that eventually took over his likeness was. Like I tell the writers defend your creativity, but we all know you don’t have a leg to stand on!
